Robbie is a Canadian filmmaker, writer and production designer. He studied Film and TV Production at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with honours.

Robbie’s latest short film, Household, premiered at the Chicago Horror Film Festival. His shorts, The Woods, Ed and Scorch, were each official selections of the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, as well as other international festivals. His screenwriting has placed in numerous competitions, including the ScreenCraft Writing Fellowship (semifinalist), Austin Film Festival (second rounder), and HollyShorts (finalist). The Man in the Cabin won 3rd place short at the Slamdance Screenwriting Competition. His comedy pilot, Glam, earned him a spot at the CineStory TV Writing Retreat in California. His feature film, Fester (in development), was an official selection at Fantasia’s Frontières Co-Production Market in 2021, as reported in Variety.

As a production designer, Robbie has worked on a number of movies including the Lifetime thriller Seduced By His Lies, the forthcoming thriller The Millwood Murders, and three Hallmark Channel original movies in the Jane Mysteries series. He has designed commercials for clients such as Sleep Country, Entrust, Original Joe’s and Full House Lottery. He also works as an art director, most recently on the half-hour French-language dramedy, 11h11 (CBC/Radio Canada).

Before relocating to Toronto in 2022, he worked as a producer of fashion television and music videos in New York City.
